GROWING GROUPS
Why Grow Alone When You Can Grow Together?
Growing groups exist to build relationships that lead people into a deeper connection with Christ. In this process, group members study the Bible (or Biblical materials), share their personal experiences/insights, pray for each other's needs, and encourage one another. While the setting is flexible (group members' homes, coffee shops, restaurants, etc.), the common thread among all growing groups is that they meet on a regular basis and they are focused on creating a warm environment that is God-focused. The benefits of such an environment are clear:
Build life-supporting friendships by connecting with other members of Seoul Union Church.
Gain opportunities to give and receive love and encouragement.
Learn God's Word in a relationship based Bible Study.
Grow your faith in a friendly atmosphere.

How to Get Involved?
In order to establish growing groups, volunteers are needed for the following positions:
Facilitators – facilitators walk the group through their topic of study. Consequently, facilitators should be good either in the area of teaching and/or in the area of leading a discussion. Facilitators will also help the group coordinate its regular meetings and needs. The group will work together, so the facilitator does not do all the work. However, facilitators should have some administration ability to direct the activities of the group.
Home Volunteers – home volunteers are willing to open up their home for group meetings. They should have a generous heart by not minding the inconvenience of holding a regular group meeting in their home. They should also like people and be willing to extend a welcoming atmosphere to the group.
Beyond these positions, there are other ways to participate in growing groups! The easiest way is to select a growing group and begin attending. After you connect with a group, there will be opportunities to serve within your group in the areas of fellowship, childcare, and support for fellow group members. Each group will have different needs, so the opportunities will vary on a group to group basis. Please contact the church via phone (02) 333-7393 or email at such@seoulunionchurch.org for more information.
Hope to See You Soon at a Growing Group!
